ASSIST TRAVEL AND TRANSPORT
It can be difficult to go out and about at times. Taking public transportation to and from work or to see family and friends can be perplexing and even frightening.
SFSA staff can help you gain independence by providing public transportation training and assisting you in learning public transportation routes and community transportation options.
Wheelchair-accessible vans/buses are used in our special needs transportation programmes. Our customers with mobility-related challenges can use these specially adapted vehicles to get to and from job, school, vocational training, hospital/rehabilitation appointments, and/or recreational activities.
SFSA launched our dedicated transportation services, based on the belief that our clients should not be denied transportation opportunities. These specially designed vehicles, which are fitted with hydraulic lifts, have helped to bridge the gap in mobility for the physically disabled, providing them with an economical mode of transportation.
